Die Klasse Namen

I just noticed that the IBM JDK class libraries include these klasses:
  • com.ibm.security.util.DerInputStream and
  • com.ibm.security.util.DerValue.

Huck huck.

Ach! Der InputStream ist ein ... NuisanceStream! Der Value, Der. No one who speaks German could be an evil man!

Happy New Year!

  1. Interesting. Maybe the history of Distinguished Encoding Rules dates far more back than we assumed, maybe even to the Ur-Europeans :)
That said, I have dealt with some real DieNeueKlasse and ClasseImmuable when taking code over from some European colleagues. Although it kind of stopped in the beginning of 2000's. Nowadays culture of coding and readability across the world is way better.
